You can choose to post things for whatever reason you want, and can post as many different recs as you want. There is no minimum number of recs that need to be in a post, so if you have one thing you want to highlight you can post that one! You also may post anonymously.

This is an easy rec because not only was this one of my favourite reads from the FIAB'22 exchange, it's also a really creative take on canon, adding supernatural elements to make the Sakhalin prison even more hellish. Basically, I think it can be enjoyed as a story even if you don't know canon and these characters. But if you do know them it's just fantastically in-character and emotionally resonant.
I have all the Orpheus and Erudice vibes from this story as Biggles goes to "hell" to retrieve von Stalhein.

Rec: Look at that summary! It's fantastic, isn't it? I love the way that interaction slowly unwinds throughout the course of the fic, as the philosophy and ethics behind the statement "I do not make swords" is explained by words and actions alike. This fic is set in an alternate pre-canon, and the ending is gorgeous and a gut-punch as the state of canon finally catches up to the characters. I adore all the details, and the sense of place and character in this fic is great; definitely worth a read if you know anything about Genshin at all.

Rec: I'd love this just for the concept of an identity half-reveal, but the core of his is the careful way Zhao Yunlan and Shen Wei's knowing watchfulness about each other bounce around and settle in a conversation that resolves straight back into canon. Nothing's changed, but everything's changed, and I love the plot device used to help it. Plus, all the interactions and conversations are great! Lovely characterization all around!

I want to rec this fic because it's a pretty niche fandom and pairing (it's a canonical married couple involving the main character, but they're older and I don't think the eight-episode show was widely watched--though a second season has just been ordered!), and it was a gift for me. I'd love for some more readers to see it.
It's a beautiful fic, sad but hopeful, big and intimate. Every little action in the present, emotional note within and between the characters, and memory of the past is so real in it. It's set at their family ranch in Wyoming, mostly just the two of them and the house and the land. And if you don't mind spoilers, I believe you can read it canon-blind!
(For context, the show is about this quiet, intense man Royal, his family, their ranch, their neighbors, the town, change, and a mystery involving a big round impossible hole in time that's on their land.)
Read it as a portrait of a longstanding relationship at a moment of crisis, and of each of the characters and the limits and possibilities of connection and vulnerability, exposure and understanding between them, with just enough detail of how they got there to understand it over the course of the fic, and so much depth in such a small space that moves them through it and towards a potential for a future.

This fic really delivers on giving me more of everything that I loved about the original novel while twisting events to go with a fun new scenario! I love all the delicious pining angst and how deeply these two love each other and cozy scenery descriptions. The smut was hot and sweet and the resolution was perfect! It also has a fun hint of epistolary with a letter from an outsider character's POV in the last chapter, which I found a very charming touch. If you like this book and like the idea of "What if Valancy discovered the truth about her heart via the added layer of complication of discovering an unexpected pregnancy?", I cannot rec this fic enough.
