I never actually posted my Yuletide fic here, and it's almost March. Way behind. But anyway, I had fun with it, so enjoy!

Title: What Abigail And Ione Did That January

Summary: Ione comes down for a visit after Christmas. But a quiet visit is not in the cards when there is a missing persons case to be solved.

I am standing in Euston Station, and it's even worse of a madhouse than I expected it to be. But I'm so excited I'm not even bothered by the crush of tourists with roller bags who seem determined to run me over as they dash to catch their trains. Ione is coming, and though we've talked on the phone almost every day, it's been months since we said goodbye in Scotland.

I want to know if she smells as good as I remember. I want to know if her skin feels as good as I remember. I'm almost afraid I've built her up, in my head, to such a peak of perfection, that I'll be disappointed to see her again and find she's just a girl.

( But if I were going to let my fear control me, I wouldn't be a wizard now. I'd never have survived the house on Hampstead Heath, or the Robinette kidnapping, or the wyvern up in Glasgow. And I'd never have gotten to kiss Ione. )

Bullet Train

I would be utterly thrilled to see anything Tangerine-centric for Bullet Train! Whether that’s something solo as he cares for himself (and his hair) in preparation for a job, the aftermath of him and Lemon after finishing up a wetwork job, or something romantic with Ladybug. Smut or fluff equally as welcomed 💙🍊🍋 🐞

I think Tangerine would be a man who cares SO MUCH about his haircare routine. We see how much personal grooming matters to him with his meticulous appearance (that slowly degenerates throughout) the movie. Seeing a glimpse into that self-care, or into how he tries to care for Ladybug’s mess of a hairstyle once they are together (you just know that man uses a three in one monstrosity and calls it a day) could be really sweet. Having the trust between Tangerine and someone else to help him shave during his recovery post train crash could also be a really poignant moment to see!

I know we don’t see a lot of Lemon and Tangerine’s childhood, but from the little we do see, I always get the impression that either they grew up poor/working class, or that they may have been in care together and become like brothers there. I would love to see how Tan learned to help Lemon care for his hair when they were much younger.

Kraven the Hunter

Oh gosh, I am equally a fan of Sergei and Dmitri when it comes to Kraven, so I would be thrilled to see ANYTHING involving one or the other of these two, romantic or platonic, from their childhood or adult lives.

I think there is a lot of potential for something sweet, poignant, or even humorous between Sergei and Dmitri; Dmitri so clearly cares for himself and his appearance carefully, while Sergei is busy with his hunts and living in the middle of nowhere, so his appearance - and haircare - seems like something that just naturally happens more from luck than out of any real conscious effort. I think that could lead to some fun moments between the two – especially considering that one scene where Dmitri looked down his nose at what Sergei planned to wear out to his birthday party, and insisted on dressing him.

Having Reader and Sergei sharing a soft moment over physical care and grooming could be a great way to introduce a Reader to the Dome, or to have them share a moment with Sergei in London with Dmitri, too. With Sergei's enhanced senses, it could lead to some interesting situations around hair care, hair pulling, and arousal.

With how terribly controlling yet oddly caring and proud at moments Nikolai is with/about Dmitri, there could be sooo much potential there for a moment of softness between them – particularly if Nikolai was doing something like helping Dmitri be more ‘manly’ with shaving, getting a suit, or helping him step up in some way with the family business. On the other side of things, a moment where Nikolai is cruel and/or compares Dmitri with Sergei could be just as heart breaking but wonderful.

DNWs: Please no major character death for Sergei, Dmitri or Reader; other canon, background or original characters are fine! No hurt/no comfort please (with the exception of Dmitri and Nikolai).

Gladiator II

I am utterly obsessed with Caracalla. That man is just URG! I have SO MANY THOUGHTS AND FEELS! He is just wonderfully chaotic and messy, hurt and wanting to hurt others. He’s so lost in his own pain and illness at times, and then just such a hedonistic joy to watch at others.

Just as thrilled with a moment of smut, angst-with-hope, or softness.

We see so clearly in the film how much Geta cares for and almost tries to cover for Caracalla in places; it could be so bittersweet or joyous to see them sharing a moment of care between them while physically caring for one another, or while Geta looks after Caracalla during/after one of his episodes. Or we see in several shots that Caracalla clearly goes against the Roman fashion at the time, and has fairly hairy legs and a stomach/chest; seeing Geta’s appreciation – or scorn – about this, and Caracalla’s love of his own body/bodyhair could be so good! Reader could also make an excellent addition, either with Caracalla or with both, as an attending, a servant, or a partner.

Caracalla’s hair often looks wild and straw-like; it could be sweet to see Geta or Reader trying to help care for him or, in one of Caracalla’s more lucid moments, seeing how he might care for Geta or Reader – helping them to indulge in their more traditional Roman preferences for fully shaving from the neck down.

Having something involving hair and gore/cleanup could also be a really interesting angle, considering Caracalla and Geta’s fascination with the games.

DNWs: Please no major character death (canon or otherwise; background or original characters are fine! But the twins and Reader should remain safe/alive) or hurt/no comfort.

The Fall Guy

Tom is just SO delightfully self-obsessed and needy, he would be a J O Y to read more about when it comes to anything hair-related. He’s clearly easily influenced by those around him, and his image – and career – are what matters to him the most. I could see him being SO reluctant to get his hair cut or dyed for some roles, or to let anyone shave him! On the other side of things, I could see him requesting Reader or even Colt – he clearly doesn’t respect what Colt actually does at times 😭 – to help him shave from the neck down to prepare for a scene.

On the other side of things, I really do love the idea of a soft, devoted to his partner(s) Tom, who would spend time trying to do/explain expensive haircare routines, or doing it for them himself while he was practising lines or preparing for a role.

Nosferatu

Friedrich my beloved~! Ohmygosh. The potential for Friedrich and Reader here! Clearly he spends a great deal of time on his hair (facial and on his head), and he so embodies that period typical edge of misogyny (combined with his utter devotion for his wife) that I could see him both almost requiring a more feminine look for his wife, but also being willing to help her achieve that.

Modern AUs, alternative endings to canon, pre-canon, and canon-divergent all welcome.

DNWs: Please do not kill off Friedrich or Reader, no child-centric or pregnancy related fics, and no hurt/no comfort. All other canon or background/OC character deaths are fine.

28 Years Later

Jamie, for all of his faults, is also clearly a loving partner and great father. I could see him helping care for Reader’s hair be that brushing and washing when she was ill or preparing to join him on the mainland for a hunt, or whether it was after a narrow escape when they both need to clean up from all of that gore and wash away the terrible memories of what almost was.

DNWs: Please do not kill off Jamie or Reader, or have clear hurt/no comfort between the two.

Crossover fandoms

Bullet Train x Kraven the Hunter: Tangerine and Dmitri both have such similar yet opposing vibes with their love of suits and meticulous grooming, while Tan is the elder more responsible of the two brothers (Tan & Lem), and Dima is the younger yet arguably still more responsible of the two (Sergei & Dmitri). I could see them encountering each other over a job (employer/employee; kidnapper/kidnapee) or just running in the same circles, or even meeting one another at a tailors or barbers.

For Tangerine and Sergei (with optional Reader), I could see them having met on a job, having run in the same circles, or even having encountered each other at Dmitri’s club. While both may be the elder brother who would do anything for their younger sibling, Tangerine clearly cares more about his appearance than Sergei, yet both end up with similar stunning dark curls and neatly kept facial hair. There could be some sweet or funny moments to be had there.

Bullet Train x The Fall Guy: Tom could easily be a target for Tangerine, or someone he’s supposed to guard, or considering Tom’s lack of filter, he might even hire Tangerine to get into a role. I could see them both having choice words about the other’s facial hair and/or haircare routines – that could lead to clashing or bonding.

28 Years x Kraven the Hunter: I’m just saying. For a post-apocalypse zombie-survival setting, Jamie’s hair looks surprisingly good. Assuming Sergei was also a survivor in England, the two could make such an interesting pairing, with the potential to see them cleaning up after a successful hunt or rescue.

Nosferatu x The Fall Guy: Aaaaa. Modern AU. Friedrich as a wealthy fan/patron of Tom’s. The sugar daddy, gentle (or not so gentle) caring of Friedrich pampering Tom. The p ot e n t i a l.

Call of Duty

I just adore Reader x John and Reader x Konig fics. John is so sweet husband coded; I could see him caring for Reader and having a soft moment with her that involves pampering and haircare between missions, or perhaps even showing his level of trust for her letting her help shave/maintain his interesting facial hair choices.

Soft!Konig is just such a delight. But also, Konig (or John) who rescues Reader while on a mission, and helps with the cleanup/aftercare could be wonderful. Konig removing his hood around a colleague!Reader and letting her help look after him/his hair could also be such a sweet moment.

On a more spicy side of things, I think both of these men would love getting their hair pulled by Reader in the heat of the moment, and would

I would rather get a story you were happy with than "well, she said she liked x, so I guess I have to do x even though I don't like x and/or am not inspired that way." This letter is long with lots of suggestions and preferences if you find it helpful, but feel free to ignore it if it is not helpful. I'm fairly easy to please; I've been doing ficathons for a long time and am usually very happy with my gifts.

The most important thing for me in a fic is that the characters are well-written and recognizably themselves. Even when I don't like a character, I don't go in for character-bashing. If nothing else, if the rest of this letter is too much or my kinks don't fit yours, just concentrate on writing a story with everyone in character and good spelling and grammar and I will almost certainly love what you come up with.

I have an embarrassment squick, which makes humor kind of hit-or-miss sometimes. The kind of humor where someone does something embarrassing and the audience is laughing at them makes me uncomfortable. On the other hand, the kind of humor where the audience is laughing with the characters I really enjoy.
