Rec Post

This post is for anyone to post recommendations from the 2022 collection! There are currently 771 works in the collection, so it's a lot to go through and also a lot that could be highlighted! You can choose to post things for whatever reason you want, and can post as many different recs as you want. There is no minimum number of recs that need to be in a post, so if you have one thing you want to highlight you can post that one! You also may post anonymously.

Your posts need to have some indication of what you're reccing (so not just a list of links), but otherwise how much information you include is up to you! Suggestions of things to include:

Rec: I love everyone-lives AUs for TFA, and this is a fantastic one. After Rey steals the Falcon on her own, she becomes Han's crewmate, and their lives weave in and around the Resistance's. I love the slices of life this fic shows, and the slowly building relationships.

Rec: This fic merges two different post-canon reconciliations I love: JC and WWX, and NHS with like... everyone. xD I love that the spark which leads to remembering that friendship is, perhaps, an okay thing to have is them simply having fun like they're kids again.

Rec: Look at that summary! It's fantastic, isn't it? I love the way that interaction slowly unwinds throughout the course of the fic, as the philosophy and ethics behind the statement "I do not make swords" is explained by words and actions alike. This fic is set in an alternate pre-canon, and the ending is gorgeous and a gut-punch as the state of canon finally catches up to the characters. I adore all the details, and the sense of place and character in this fic is great; definitely worth a read if you know anything about Genshin at all.

The SID are called to extract a book that no Haixingren can touch. A few weeks later, definitely-not-Dixingren Shen Wei picks it up unknowingly.

Rec: I'd love this just for the concept of an identity half-reveal, but the core of his is the careful way Zhao Yunlan and Shen Wei's knowing watchfulness about each other bounce around and settle in a conversation that resolves straight back into canon. Nothing's changed, but everything's changed, and I love the plot device used to help it. Plus, all the interactions and conversations are great! Lovely characterization all around!

Rec: I loved this tag from the moment I saw it, and this is a novella-length work exploring a very cool version of it! It's a great court drama with xianxia floating around the sides, with beautifully-developed characters and a slow-burn style relationship wrapped around a casefic.

This was a gift for me, and I adore it; it's (relatively) short but displays so many interconnected relationships, and sets up so many intrigues and plots. 12/10, would watch the cdrama this is clearly from!
