Signups - Spreadsheet, Bugs, and Reminders

We're a little over 2 and a half days into signups, with about six and a half days left, and we're already at 97 signups!

The spreadsheet of requests is now being updated! It will be updated a couple times a day until signups close.

• Requests Spreadsheet (google sheets) (File → Make a Copy, to use the filters on the header row. Copies will not auto-update)
• HTML version of Requests Spreadsheet (This one is easier to load and will not show when anyone is looking at it, but has no fancy filters)

Also as a reminder, the Fandom Promo and Medium Discussion posts are still open for everyone to use (with a bunch of good posts already there!)

AO3 Bug

• We've had at least one incident of a bug that will show relationships in the dropdown that are not in that fandom in the tagset! We're hoping this is an isolated incident, because there is no fix other than waiting for it to fix itself.
• The only tag we are sure is affected is "Vax'ildan (Critical Role) & Barry Bluejeans (The Adventure Zone) & Lup (The Adventure Zone)". Please only request/offer this tag in Crossover Fandom. If anyone requests it in The Adventure Zone, we will have to remove it before we run matching. (To be clear, it is entirely safe to request this in Crossover Fandom)
• If you see a tag in the relationship dropdown that looks like it doesn't belong (crossover, undisambiguated, misspelled, disambiguated with a different fandom, ect), please check the tagset before requesting/offering it. If it is not in the tagset under that fandom then do not request it under that fandom. If you do, we may be forced to remove the bugged tag from your request/offer before we can run matching.
• If you find one of these please let us know so that we can warn other people.
• There is no fix for this bug and nothing we can do to predict or prevent it, so we're just trying to keep an eye on it.

Reminders

• Everyone is requesting fanfiction. There is no way to opt out of this, though you may also opt into other mediums. We will be checking the requests this week and will be emailing anyone who missed that to let them know they must also have some amount of prompts/likes for fic for every request.
• Everyone is offering fanfiction unless you contact me before signups are over with what mediums you'd like to match on and a list of people who are A) matchable with your offers on fandom/relationship and B) are requesting those mediums. You have until signups close on the 29th to do this, so no rush!
• Your creator might need to make you more than one gift, so please avoid prompting for just one specific thing. As long as you have some indication of your likes we will let your sign up stay, but please keep in mind that this exchange has a large minimum! If your creator cannot produce 10k (or equivalent) for the single prompt you've provided, you're probably going to get a gift (or gifts) that you don't like very much. The more general likes you have for your creator to use, the more likely you are to get a gift (or gifts!) that you'll enjoy!
• If you are creating for someone who has only requested ships/characters, then the works you give them must each be for one of their requested ships or characters. This is the case even for mediums that aren't inherently shippy! If the medium isn't shippy we've been suggesting using marginalia/notes, or combining the not-easily-shippy medium with another medium in the same work that is (such as a schematic paired with a mission report, or a bestiary entry as part of a larger work of fanfiction).
• If anyone wants to request "Solo: Worldbuilding" in their fandom and it isn't already there, please let us know and we will add it.

Hi! I'm trying to request Keith/Lance from Voltron, but the ship doesn't appear on the dropdown menu, even though it's on the tagset :C

What do I do?

This is a known AO3 bug where some stuff just hides from the dropdown! If you copy/paste it directly from the tagset the sign up form will accept it.

So, I copy/pasted the ship, but when I try to submit, it tells me: "These relationship tags in your offer are not allowed in this challenge: Keith/Lance (Voltron)"

It looks like the tag in the tagset is "Keith/Lance (VLD)", you'll need to try it exactly as it appears in the tagset under that fandom.

If we're someone hoping to match on a different medium, is there a minimum amount of participants we need to email you to be potentially matched to? E.g. there are a few people I can match to currently and one person I'd absolutely love to match to - could I just send that one person?

It would be better to send in multiple people — it's possible your first choice will drop out between you emailing us and sign ups closing, or that your first choice will be two other people's only possible match and we'll want to avoid triple assigning them, etc. But there's definitely no minimum, because some people are genuinely matchable to only one person. If you send us only one name and then we can't match you to that person, we will do our best to find a recip for you by hand based on your offered fandoms/relationships and the medium you indicated you want to work in. If we can't find a sure match, we'll email you the same as we would any other unmatchable participant.
