Date: 2020-08-16 11:50 pm (UTC)If you provide specific links to works that you'd like to see podficced, I would really, REALLY love if you could link to the author's permission statement too, so I don't have to go hunting it down to verify that they really do have blanket permission.
If you do NOT provide specific links to works that you'd like to see podficced, it will help both me and you to at least list likes and DNWs for that particular fandom/character/ship. I don't want to find a fic that I'm like, "this work will be perfect" and then it turns out that it's by an author who you don't like. "I like the style of Author X" or "Anything by Y" is helpful.
Also, please indicate if you're okay with your own works being podficced to fill your own prompt. That way, I'd know for sure that you don't hate the work I'm podficcing -- if you hated it, you probably wouldn't have posted it!
In terms of podficcing: this podfic tutorial by paraka at the American Idol podfic comm on LJ is a great starting point! I'm also happy to walk people through most of the process (I'm not going to help with the posting or picking a work) via private messages.
I recommend Audacity as a free, relatively simple-to-learn audio editing tool.

Date: 2020-08-17 12:04 am (UTC)Creation Station Promo!
Date: 2020-08-17 12:16 am (UTC)what I make:
+ emoji
+ typeface designs
+ heraldic crests
+ playing cards & tarot cards
+ minimalist posters
+ bestiaries
+ mandala
+ sketchbook pages
+ maps & floorplans
+ book covers
+ The Bookshelf Limbo style book preview
+ conspiracy boards
+ Untitled Goose Style To-Do Lists
+ Weapon Schematics
+ fanart, comics
what is helpful to me in a prompt:
- what kinds of styles you like
- a few links to the type of thing that you're requesting that you enjoy. Examples of what you like in that medium is very helpful, even if I can't hit that style exactly.
- favorite colors or palettes if you have them
- favorite moods or tones if you have them. (e.g. colorful and exciting will definitely spark different ideas than moody or reflective)
- For maps & floorplans: information about the places you like/enjoy/want to know more about.
- For heraldic crests, sketchbook pages, cards, etc: general fandom enthusiasm is a great starting point. Symbolism or character moments that you enjoy.
- Emoji: moods, actions, or objects that you want. Also, please tell me where you might want to use these emoji. Different sites/apps have different pixel requirements.
Resources on how to make the things:

The Bookshelf Limbo style book previews: You only need to know how to draw hands to make these! Here are references from the game:

Recipe Book
Date: 2020-08-19 08:36 pm (UTC)If you plan on requesting that, I recommend that you mention if you want In-Universe Recipes, IRL Recipes, or a mix of both.
Also if you want IRL Recipes mention;
If you have allergies
Foods and flavor profiles you do not like/will not eat
Foods and flavor profiles you do like (Your Favorites)
If you want vegetarian options
Re: Recipe Book
Date: 2020-08-24 11:07 am (UTC)Just to add for me it would also be great to know if you have a strong preference for measuring you prefer for IRL recipes (cups, imperial, metric etc). For In-Universe recipes, any mentions of things you want included such as fandom specific language to do with cooking/food (like spelling) would be great, unless this is easily accessible elsewhere.

Date: 2020-08-20 09:42 am (UTC)If you select the option: ‘Podfic of any of my fics that match this request's fandom/relationships’, I’d hope that you had works in that fandom featuring that relationship that were 1k+ words. I’d also really enjoy looking through your works and selecting a story I would enjoy reading!
I’d also say that if you don’t have a blanket statement for podfic on your profile for whatever reason, but you are asking for podfic in this exchange, I’d take that as you being happy for podfic in this instance.
If you’d like to give podfic a try for this exchange and would like some help, I’m more than happy to assist you. Just drop me a message. I’m also eager to collaborate. E.g. If you write a fic for someone who also asked for podfic, let’s discuss me recording it for them as a bonus gift!

Date: 2020-08-21 12:44 am (UTC)What you absolutely need from a prompt: Are you looking strictly for an illustration following the traditional Western tarot or are you open to oracle decks inspired by items or concepts in the canon? For example class/aspects for Homestuck, entities for Magnus Archives, Caryll runes for Bloodborne. If you're interested in the cards tying into another medium opt in mention that as well. Oracle decks sometimes have rituals linked to each of the cards.
What is helpful to you in a prompt: If you have a specific tarot card/character match you feel strongly about, list that in your sign up! I don't want to give you Ernie as The World when you think Big Bird should be. Style notes like if you're looking for realism or if you're open to more abstract representations. Colors or objects you strongly associate with particular characters is useful info as well.
Resources on how to make it, for anyone who might want to try: There's many sources online for tarot card meanings so it's easy to jump in! Oracle cards might be a new concept to you, so you can get started with these articles of how they vary from a traditional tarot deck.

Tarot cards vs Oracle cards
To make an oracle deck, you can start here. Note this is working under the idea you're making a physical deck, but the concepts can be applied to digital art:

Spell or Ritual Instructions
What you absolutely need from a prompt Are you okay with violence being included? How about animal death or murder? I'm not trying to invoke Boneghazi, but if you don't want bone stealing witches in your gift give your creator a heads up.
What is helpful to you in a prompt If you're requesting a canon that has a preexisting magical system, mentioning which elements you like from it and what elements you're not keen on. Same with the religion for the setting. If you want it to be something unique to the character performing it or a well known spell for the universe.
Resources on how to make it, for anyone who might want to try The best starting point is just to read a lot of spell and ritual instructions. D&D is a good place to start, breaking spells down to material/verbal/action components. You can expand to other role playing games or straight to how people design rituals for their personal religious practices.
