Part 2! PHs 51-57. New Fandoms for PH 41. (And repost of PHs 44-46, 48)

Pinch hits are participants who are without creators; pinch hitting is the practice of volunteering to make a gift for a pinch hit. These pinch hits are all due on October 27th at 11:59pm EDT, but that due date can be set to later if needed.

Fic In A Box has a very unusual set of assignment requirements: everyone is owed (and is asking for) 10k of fanfiction, which by default can be given as one 10k+ fic or several 1k+ fics. Participants have also had the option to opt-in to other minimum lengths or to other formats of fanwork. The other fanwork mediums are given word count equivalents, which you can view on the medium ruleset post.

Additionally:

Fic In A Box creators may default after partially filling their assignment — say, if they discover that they can only write 9k of fic — and PHs can be picked up in 1k increments!
You may always swap all or part of your assignment for a PH, just let us know that's what you're doing when you post to claim the PH.

In order to pick up a pinch hit you need to either email us or comment on this post (comments are screened) with:

The amount of wordcount you would like to claim (even if you're going to do fanart or some other non-fic opt-in medium, just convert it for us!)

- Shikako and Tsunade wind up back in time together and need Tobirama's help to get back. Tsunade spends more time bitching to Tobirama about the messes she has to deal with as Hokage than time travel.
- Shikako ends up in a world where instead of Kikaichu hives, Aburame have giant bee companions they bond with sort of like Inuzuka and ninken. She comes back with one that bonds with Shino. She didn't know that some species of bees can reproduce asexually.
- Tobirama makes a mistake when developing Hiraishin and ends up in the future. Ibiki brings in Shikako as the resident expert on weird seal crap.

I just like the idea of Shikako, with or without her friends, stirring up trouble in other fandoms (or her friends stirring up trouble and trying to blame her for it). If you have a scene where people are standing around and asking what the hell just happened, then you're on the right track. If you want specific ideas:
- Team Seven in Harry Potter, after finding out there's another snake themed evil genius with an obsession with immortality, competing with each other to hunt down Voldemort and Harry breaking out the popcorn as the Order gets increasingly frantic news as the overpowered menaces smash Death Eater hideouts to track Voldemort down.
- Shikako after realizing she's in the prequel trilogy, knows that the Jedi Council will deny the existence of the Sith so she sets out to convince them... by pretending to be a Sith.
- A follow up to my fic "An Unexpected Training Trip" where Sasuke and Naruto convince students in UA to try praying to Shikabane-hime and then using ninja magic to fulfill those prayers to convince people she really is a goddess. (Especially if those prayers are for retribution against Mineta.)

Lin Chen /& Mei Changsu
Ok, I have no idea what’s going on between these two but whatever it is, I love it. I adore the way that their method of showing care for each other is relentless bullying. Mei Changsu is able to smile and be mischievous when Lin Chen shows up in the show near the end, and that is beautiful.
On the other hand, I am also a huge fan of the angst potential where Lin Chen doesn’t understand why Mei Changsu is so eager to die for his country (because living is harder) and has to deal with being unable to cure his friend. That scene where Lin Chen is eagerly planning a road trip for them and their son as Mei Changsu decides to grimly march off to war? Breaks my heart. I love it. Some ideas I think would be interesting to look at:

-for once, Mei Changsu isn’t the one that needs to be looked after, Lin Chen is. Mei Changsu gets to be on the other side of the ‘friend/patient is being awful and won’t just sit down and heal, but insists on actually straining himself for reasons I feel are Inadequate, but he won’t listen to me’. Mei Changsu hates it. Lin Chen, when he isn’t trying to hide how awful he feels, is smug.
-A pre-canon jianghu adventure! Perhaps both of them need to go undercover but Lin Chen isn’t taking it seriously? Maybe they get kidnapped, forcing the poor kidnapper listen to them bickering instead of being adequately intimidated by said kidnapping? Maybe there is a friendly rivalry between members of the Jiangzuo Alliance and Langya Hall and Mei Changsu and Lin Chen are both vicariously competing (and actually competing) through their subordinates?
- Maybe Lin Chen could be kidnapped as leverage against Mei Changsu, at which point Mei Changsu shrugs and waits fifteen minutes until the kidnappers are begging to give Lin Chen back?
-I am a huge fan of platonic soulmates and I would love for these two to be soulmates and be incredibly annoyed about it. Perhaps misunderstandings could occur in part due to misunderstandings about the nature of soulmates?

Mei Changsu /& Jingyan

-Identity porn? All the identity porn! The amount of delicious delight I get the amount of subterfuge going on between these two is…well it’s a lot. I have genuinely shouted at the screen while watching (later episodes especially) for Mei Changsu to just tell him, omg. I do love stories where Jingyan figures out who Mei Changsu is and then proceeds not to tell anyone. Jingyan being competent is something that I love to see.
-Fei Liu needs to be babysat, Jingyan volunteers and then regrets it. Alternately, Mei Changsu intercepts an assassination attempt etc against Jingyan and lends Fei Liu to Jingyan as a bodyguard under the pretence of him needing a babysitter while Mei Changsu goes out and Wrecks the would be assassin and their sponsor
-Jingyan genuinely appreciates Mei Changsu (amoral strategist ™) and Mei Changsu suddenly realises that his plan to keep Jingyan at arm’s length has failed epically. Cue breakdowns over how he’s a stain on Jingyan’s future government etc while Jingyan is just patiently picking out books that he thinks that Mei Changsu would like
-Jingyan meets Mei Changsu pre-canon. Mei Changsu wasn’t expecting this! (for once). All his plans are ruined! Mei Changsu scrambling to salvage things, because I love Mei Changsu but also I love bullying him a lot (he deserves it after everything he puts his friends through).

-It would be hilarious if Langya Hall, being the source of all knowledge etc, also moonlit as a relationship advice column. I can’t imagine the amount of chaos that this could cause, and I can’t decide whether Lin Chen would be an amazing relationship guru or a terrible one (purposefully or not!)
-Oops Lin Chen has accidentally Ascended to godhood through no fault of his own (he hadn’t realised that the MacGuffin he was looking for did that). Now he’s on a mission to gain more followers and game the system to stop Mei Changsu from dying

Mei Changsu
I am genuinely happy for this to be gen or romantic, and please feel free to bring in any (or no!) characters you want!

-I would like Mei Changsu to have a nice day with no illness flareups whatsoever
-alternately I would love to for Mei Changsu to have a bad day, but for people to notice and look after him as he grumpily submits to being rolled into a burrito blanket and forced to go back to bed
-Mei Changsu is kidnapped. This goes very poorly… for the kidnappers of course. Bonus if he has been kidnapped for leverage against Jingyan/Lin Chen/Prince Yu (???) and they don’t even know who it is they’ve got.

Mei Changsu /& Meng Zhi

I just love them so much. Meng Zhi is a very good friend but also a terrible liar when he has to directly lie to someone (who’s not the emperor). I would love to see something with both of them plotting together, possibly with a person not in the know (Jingyan? Yujin?) in the background!

Mei Changsu/Mu Nihuang/Xiao Jingyan

I realised as I was signing up that the character tag for this relationship was only Lin Shu (and not Mei Changsu | Lin Shu (| Su Zhe) but I am happy for iteration of him!

-Mu Qing decides that he definitely wants his sister to get married to that Su Zhe/Mei Changsu guy and tries to set them up (locks them in cupboards, makes increasingly obvious references, hires some bandits to ‘attack’ them so that Nihuang can show off…). Meanwhile, Mei Changsu, Nihuang, and Jingyan have been in a relationship for a while now and are just chilling.
-I would love polyamory negotiations where they actually all talk with their words about their relationship! Truly the most alternate of universes.
- timetravel! Somehow Jingyan and Nihuang are dropped into the past, somewhere in those twelve years after Meiling but before canon starts. From thereon they are the ones with all of the knowledge whereas Mei Changsu is just left spluttering in confusion as all of his plans are overturned. Alternately all three of them travel back together and, with the benefit of hindsight and also honesty, are very competent together and manage to work together for a better future.

Ming Cheng & Ming Jing & Ming Lou & Ming Tai
Ok, but this family. Honestly, I felt very meh about the romances in the show but each and every family scene hit me like a freight train, I love them so much

-maybe Ming Jing DOES find out earlier. I would love to see all the staged fights between all the siblings. Ming Jing looks like she was having fun when she got to take part in them and honestly she deserves to be part of this as well.
-An alternate universe set at some point not around WWII. Ming Tai attends a new university far, far away from his family. When he gets there he realises that Ming Jing has decided to concentrate on the (wherever he ends up going) branch of the Ming Company for however long he’s there, Ming Lou is the new vice chancellor of the University and ah-Cheng is one of his lecturers. It would be hilarious if a fan club for ah-Cheng sprang up just to see the mortification on Ming Tai’s face
-Aunt Gui is the Worst (although I feel sorry for her and what she went through, she also took out her anger on an innocent child). I would love to see Ming Jing, Ming Lou, and Ming Tai realise this and work together to get rid of her because they can see that her being here is negatively affecting ah-Cheng
-all of the Ming family is vastly too self-sacrificial for their own good and I would love to see something that explores all of them trying to fall on their own swords for each other and being thwarted.
-Ming Jing and Ming Lou took in two young children to raise when they themselves were still teenagers. I would love to see a pre-canon fic exploring this!

Ming Cheng & Ming Lou
-the fact that the two of them trust each other so much is just beautiful. I would love to see more scenes of them working together to convince various organisations that they’re on the outs while smirking at each other from across the room

-alternately I would love to see them use their competencies for something utterly mundane, like arranging for Mint Tai to go to university somewhere or organising Ming Jing’s birthday
-do you know what Ming Lou getting yet another job and ah-Cheng just rolling his eyes in disgust and following would be amazing.
-It would be amazing to see something where for once Ming Lou and ah-Cheng are the ones in trouble and they just have to sit there and wait to be rescued for once.

Ming Lou/Wang Tianfeng
I don’t know whether it’s just me, but I watched the two of them meet onscreen to talk about the ‘death plan’ and I immediately thought that they had this huge vibe of ‘disgruntled exes who had a terrible break up years ago and still aren’t over it’.

-something about Ming Lou and Wang Tianfeng meeting at pre-canon. They seem to have vastly different philosophies in canon and I would love to see an exploration of when they first realised that.
-Ming Lou and Wang Tianfeng arguing properly, just bringing up all the wrongs of the past however many years while ah-Chang and Guo Qiyun are hovering in the background and shooting each other commiserating looks. So, canon basically, but if you get any interests in expanding it further or adding more scenes I would love to see them!

Yi Xiaochuan

-ok, Yi Xiaochuan’s hair grew out incredibly quickly for the amount of time it was meant to have been in-universe. I would love to see things exploring perhaps not just hair but also clothes etc in general. Does Yi Xiaochuan know how to deal with long hair? Did he have to go to one of his elder brothers and shamefacedly request help? What about clothes? When he joins the court he starts having to wear court clothes, are they more complicated to wear?

-Yi Xiaochuan throughout history. Perhaps he accidentally creates a village and now there are legends going all around the place and people searching for this legendary immortal…
-we have this magical amulet that only seems to activate at the most plot convenient moments. I would love to see something more to do with the amulet. Is it protective? Can Yi Xiaochuan actually learn how to harness its powers? Maybe it’s sentient?

Gao Yao & Yi Xiaochuan

These two start out as friends and then become bitter enemies, but they are also the only ones who are from the same time. I would love to see stories exploring this more!

-Gao Yao and Yi Xiaochuan meet up slightly earlier than in canon. Cue them trying to figure out how the hell to behave in the Qin Dynasty. Maybe one of them is a huge fan of period dramas and has an idea of how to behave, only to find out that oh no, those period dramas weren’t that well researched and now they’ve mortally insulted everyone
-The two of them are mortal enemies yes, but sometimes they just call a stalemate and hang out because who else is going to commiserate with them about missing pot noodles or the internet?

Jin Zixuan/Jiang Yanli & Meng Yao | Jin Guangyao

Jin Guangyao is not a good person. He really, really isn’t. But I still love this murder gremlin? He is a bundle of ambition, stress, sleep deprivation, and murder topped with a ridiculous hat. Please feel free to take this one opportunity to ignore my ‘no character-bashing’ DNW here when it comes to Jin Guangshan. He is a terrible father and person and I dislike him immensely

-I would love to see an alternate universe where Meng Yao | Jin Guangyao goes to Lotus Pier instead of Qinghe Nie and become Jiang Yanli’s friend. Now Jin Zixuan has to both a) apologise and convince someone who he’s, frankly, been pretty awful to to marry him while also, b) figure out how he feels about having a brother. I would love to see Jin Zixuan jealous that Jiang Yanli is a better older sibling than he is and also that Meng Yao knows how to talk to Jiang Yanli without becoming a stammering ball of nerves.
-Jiang Yanli wants to save her family, thank you very much, and she knows that the best way to do this is by getting Jin Guangyao on her side and working against his father. Jin Zixuan is undergoing severe disillusionment about how awful his dad is. Jin Guangyao has no idea why his new sister-in-law is being so nice to him but he really likes it please don’t stop.
-Jin Guangshan dies just after the Sunshot Campaign and now Jin Zixuan is thrust into being Sect Leader despite not being ready for it at all. Luckily both his new wife and his new brother are both politically savvy. Jiang Yanli gets to be badass with a smile. Jin Guangyao gets all the power of running a sect but none of the public-facing bullsh*t.
-Jin Zixuan and Jin Guangyao accidentally swap bodies. This could be:
-Pre-canon! Before they know of each other’s existance. Luckily for Jin Zixuan, Yunnping is relatively close to Lotus Pier so he ca at least get some help for this problem…
-Just after Sunshot! The two of them have to work together, Jin Guangyao taking advantage of the situation to better his position at Koi Tower while Jin Zixuan takes advantage of Jin Guangyao’s ability not to stick his foot in his mouth at every opportunity. They both try and fool Jiang Yanli but she figures it out in 0.05 seconds and then helps them both.

Lan Xichen & Lan Sizhui

Sizhui is very much like both his parents, but honestly he reminds me most of Xichen. I would love to see something with the two of them spending time together.

Xiao Xingchen

-I want to know more about Baoshan Sanren’s mountain! What goes on there? What does living on an immortal mountain actually look like?
-I would love to see something where all of Baoshan Sanren’s disciples can do somethings absolutely Strange (glowing? Attractive to small animals, à la Disney princess? No dust touches them despite wearing absolutely normal clothes? Sometimes when they’re not concentrating they just hover in the air without having to use a sword?) and the rest of the world (Song Lan, a-qing, xue Yang, Wei Wuxian, Lan Wangji… anyone really) is very ????? about it while Xiao Xingchen just assumes that everyone he meets just has a better control and that’s why they’re not showing it.

Jin Ling & Lan Jingyi & Lan Sizhui & Ouyang Zizhen

-Do you know what I think would be hilarious? Lan Sizhui having to impersonate either of his fathers or Lan Xichen for some reason. Maybe he’s in a remote village and there a Dispute ™ that both sides absolutely refuse to resolve without the presence of X so Sizhui is forced to step up to the plate. The rest of the gang ‘help’ as much as possible. Maybe Zizhen provides (pnly slightly embroidered) backstory? Jin Ling gets press ganged into verifying Sizhui’s fake identity? Jingyi things that it’s hilarious!
-I really love time travel fics where it is the Juniors who go back in time and just??? Completely mess with everything. Integrity of the timeline? What is that? Can’t you see our parents/uncles are going through a war here?

-they are two stinky bastard men living their best lives by being mean to the next generation, and I respect that! I would love to see anything with them being morally grey but politically on point
-the interactions between liege and subject always interest me. I would love to see more of this!
-what’s an emperor’s role in any drama. To cause problems. I would love to see how many problems the emperor can cause when there’s Chen Pingping by his side
-The Emperor is shameless in his PDA with Chen Pingping. Fan Xian, the Emperor’s son, can’t take the second hand embarrassment any more. The ministers can’t take it any more. An interventions has to happen. For the good of the country. Only… carefully. Because they are still the two scariest people in the empire.
-One of the Emperor’s favourite pastimes is watching Chen Pingping intimidating ministers. The two of them have a good time on a date routing out corruption (at least corruption that doesn’t benefit them) in the most dramatic way possible
-the Inspection and Control bureau is HILARIOUS I would love any interactions between them and the court, possibly in the form of Chen Pingping and the Emperor being approached by incredibly annoyed nobles/merchants/guards/that one guy selling cabbage and being of no help whatsoever in reigning in the bureau.

Fan Xian & Fan Ruoruo & Fan Sizhe
Ok but family!!! I love family so much, have I mentioned? Fan Xian feels like both the worst and best older brother to have and I love and hate him in equal measures. Fan Ruoruo is amazing and just wants to hang out with her brothers! Fan Sizhe has so many daddy issues but benefits so much from having two competent (ish) older siblings. He deserves love! They all do!

-Fan Sizhe, Fan Ruoruo, and Fan Xian working together to make Sizhe’s shop a success!
-All of them learning about each other and figuring out how to be siblings.
-Fan Xian’s adventures in trying to reverse engineer modern technology (that his mother hasn’t already reproduced) to become rich and famous etc with his siblings’ ‘help’
-Fan Ruoruo has Suitors. Unfortunately for them they have to get past two overprotective brothers. Chaos ensues.

-Shen Wei accidentally learns an annoying new power which means that the weather now reflects his emotions! Does he realise this? Maybe Zhao Yunlan is away (on a conference? A case? A holiday?) leading to literally days of rain in Dragon city before the SID decides that enough is enough and try to cheer him up
-Anything to do with his life at the university! Shen Wei not realising that he’s 99% of the biology department’s recruiting strategy! Conspiracy boards about what Shen Wei actually does when he disappears (the top 2 contenders are that he’s got a secret modelling job or that his boyfriend is part of the mob)
-seriously though, what does Dixing think about this war hero from 10,000 years ago who’s apparently alive again? 10,000 years is such a long time; are there even surviving record from back then? What misconceptions have sprung up? How far would scholars go to just talk to Shen Wei about the extant technologies available in his time?

Ye Zun

-Ye Zu vs the internet, who would win? (no one would win, this sounds like a terrible combination)
-you know what, I would love to see a story where Ye Zun manages to get friends (who possibly don’t know who he is and who aren’t his brother or connected to his brother in any way) because he has had trauma after trauma piled on and then he was stuck in solitary confinement for 10,000 years. Actually, any story where he manages to work through things in a healthy manner would be lovely. Maybe he writes a book? Becomes a film producer?
-Ye Zun publishes the next 50 shades of grey or outlander based on his brother’s romance and despite it becoming extremely popular Shen Wei has no idea. Of the SID, only Da Qing and Lin Jing know and they are being bribed to keep quiet

Shen Wei & Professor Zhou & Li Qian & Science

-I adore the idea of Shen Wei, fresh out of his 10,000 year nap, coming to Dragon City University and Professor Zhou taking one look at him and going, yes I WILL take care of this duckling. I also like the idea of science families, Professor Zhou looking out for Shen Wei, who then takes Li Qian. If all of them went to a conference together I would love that, I can just imagine Shen Wei standing up with, ‘more of a comment than a question’ and decimating people

-for Political Reasons, instead of Australia, Laurence and Temeraire are shipped off to China in exile. Laurence hates being (technically) a prince while Temeraire is having an amazing time (at first at least).

I’m in a similar situation with SVSSS as I am with the Untamed, in that Shen Jiu was in fact an awful, abusive teacher to Luo Binghe but definitely didn’t deserve his canon fate. I don’t want to minimise that he acted badly, but also I would love for him to have been supported more (or have, you know, loads of his canon trauma not happen to him). It’s always fascinating to me that he and Yue Qingyuan share a common, destructive trait which is not bothering to explain or defend themselves from any accusations, no matter that it would make everyone’s life a LOT easier.

Shang Qinghua/Shen Jiu

-Shen Jiu needs more friends! I would love to see misunderstanding on Shang Qinghua’s side as he tries to figure out why exactly the scum villain is taking an interest in him. I don’t know why Shen Jiu decided to befriend Shnag Qinghua, but perhaps it’s that he started to talk to him so that he could ignore Yue Qingyuan and Shang Qinghua was so sleep deprived that he accidentally started bitching about people, to Shen Jiu’s delight
-both friends being protective of the other. Shang Qinghua resolves to change Shen Jiu’s fate. Shen Jiu glares at anyone who dumps all the paperwork on Shang Qinghua

Liu Qingge/Shen Jiu

-I would love for misunderstanding re: backstory to be cleared up and then for Liu Qingge to have to go, ‘damn I have to fix this’ as Shen Jiu just tries to avoid him.
-alternate meeting where instead of Liu Qingge assuming that Shen Jiu is a lazy young master and Shen Jiu seeing Liu Qingge as the epitome of actual spoilt young masters they accidentally bond through, I don’t know, rare beasts. Vitriolic best buds!
-Liu Qingge and Shen Jiu have to fight against a common enemy (the old palace master??) and to their disgust realise that once they have to, they are very complimentary.

Shen Jiu/Gongyi Xiao

I have only seen a few stories with this pairing but actually I love it. Gongyi Xiao is just a good person and deserves a lot better than his canon fate (either in SVSSS or PIDW). Whether it’s PIDW, some alternate SVSSS where Shen Jiu is also around, or a sort of modern day reincarnated AU, I would love to see something exploring this pairing!

-maybe it’s very much a rock and a hard place where thee rock is Shen Jiu’s determination to believe that deep down everyone is trash and nobody respects or likes him vs Gongyi Xiao and his inherent goodness and belief in the best of everyone (and especially someone that he admires as much as the Qing Jing Peak lord!). Who knows that’ll give first?

Shen Jiu & Shen Yuan

In all iterations, I am fascinated by the relationship that these two could have (transmigration or no), whether it’s as:

-big brother!Shen Yuan who isn’t about to let his little brother get turned into a human stick!
-Shen Jiu giving literally everyone the shovel talk and daring people to even breathe in Shen Yuan’s direction because no one is good enough!
_big brother!Shen Jiu who has (not so lightly) maimed approximately 20 people for being mean to his brother while Shen Yuan remains oblivious
-Shen Jiu and Shen Yuan bonding over having fun verbally eviscerating people

Usopp/Vinsmoke Sanji
I am 100% not picky for these two. Give me what you will! I’ll give a couple of ideas because why not.
Specific ideas: 1. I have no idea how to make this one work, but Usopp needs to crossdress. He needs to go undercover and crossdress and kick ass and take names as he does. And everyone, even the Yonkos, are impressed. Maybe he makes an island explode? I dunno. But somehow along the way he picks Sanji up and they get a grand finale together with lots of slinging and kicking. Yeah.
2. Rule 63! Usopp is a woman and he and Robin train to be geisha in Wano. Sanji gets worked up and (obviously stupidly) goes undercover as a woman because he hates the idea of Usopp getting anywhere near someone as grungy as Orochi. He won’t admit that he’s actually genuine fallen in love with Usopp (even though everyone knows) but goes to great lengths to protect her. And Usopp is very taken by the female-presenting Sanji. He makes for a very cute woman.
3. Modern AU! The crew is just a bunch of ragtag friends that have been brought together by Luffy. Fluff stuff is great, developing relationship is great, established relationship is great, everything is great. I would prefer that Usopp be/studying to be an entomologist or botanist.
4. Sanji hurts his precious hands somehow. Usopp draws the short straw and becomes his aid in the kitchen and stuff. They’ve never really hung out together so they both expect it to be a drag. Except...they get to start knowing each other for reals. Sanji teaches Usopp some advanced cooking techniques, Usopp gives Sanji lessons on his Pop Greens, that sort of thing. Eventually Sanji’s hands are better. But...they still hang together. Spend time relaxing, chatting. And one night, nothing too special about it, one of them lays their head against the other, their hands meet, they snuggle...go where you want with it after that. Kissing? Sex? Nothing else?
5. Because of the genetic manipulation his father did, Sanji is just not quite human. He goes into heat occasionally. Usopp happens to be alone with him when it happens. Sanji is practically out of his mind from the heat. Usopp makes the decision to help Sanji through it. Feelings follow!

Retainer/lord ship ftw! These two were together for 20 years. Plotting, only able to confide in each other. A lot of trust, a lot of time. Not friendship, but super loyal. Maybe that loyalty grew into something more? Denjiro hates himself for loving her and tries to fall deeper into his mask of wrath, Hiyori feels grateful and sees it as something natural between them. Neither of them make a move. Who would spark them to at least admit their admiration/love?

Shinobu is the first time Kira has actually cared about someone. It shocks him so bad that he goes into complete denial. I want more! BDSM would fit in very well with them.
Specific ideas: 1. What if the crew never found him? Adjusting to life with a wife who’s fallen in love with him specifically would be interesting. Maybe he slowly but surely begins to reveal himself to her? As he shows himself, the desire/need to kill lessens. But his new son is still suspicious...he could tear the entire thing apart at any time. Will Kira have to kill him to preserve the facade? It would devastate Shinobu...
2. During his serial killer era, maybe when he was first starting out, he happens to run into Shinobu. She’s drawn to his aura like she knows there’s something about him. No matter how average he seems to act, there’s something that she feels is different. Exciting. She pursues him while he tries to maintain his facade. How does she strip away the protective layers he maintains and gets to the real him? The monster that attracts her so?

2. Killer Queen and Kira went to hell. All they have is each other in the terrible hellscape. What’s their afterlife like? Do they hold each other up as everything crashes down?

These two...their story is so sad and ends bittersweet. I want to see more!
Specific ideas: 1. I’d love to get something post-series where they’re reunited in a new adventure where Anthy experiences and overcomes her fears while being the one to hold Utena up as Utena did for her. Maybe Utena gets trapped in her dream world with a fake Anthy and fake parents and fake paradise?
2. I would love to see the series transformed into a dramatic coffee shop AU. Maybe Utena is training to be a barista on a world that takes coffee too seriously and Anthy is the heiress of the empire who works lowly jobs under the thumb of her brother who’s taken the reins of the company by force from her. Utena out-performs all the other baristas in coffee battles until finally Akio has to step in when Utena starts giving Anthy hope of a future away from being a puppet.
3. What if Utena successfully saved Anthy from her coffin and kept the cycle from starting over? I would love to see them have a conversation after that, where Akio sits defeated and his sister takes control of everything.

I love these guys. Just, they should be together and ride off into the sunset on a horse to a vacation discounted by Trivago’s search engine.
Specific ideas: 1. They definitely realize they have chemistry. But! They’re both on vacation with women. Now, they aren’t their partners (friends? Cousins maybe?) but neither of them know that. The tension gets so thick that by the end when they’re paying their female companions kiss or something because THEY fell for each other and decided to do long-distance. Then Carl and Alan are free to be together!
2. Maybe one of them is a detective staying at the resort to catch a thief. That thief? The other one. They go through their days not realizing it until the end when the thief tells a bad joke about the one stay being a steal to which the other one comments on how he’d have to arrest him if it was. Awkward laughing ensues. Even then, they get together.

I don’t have specific prompts for this. I really want some continuity porn. Like, previous cases popping up again. Like, you know that episode that had the sociopathic girl that murdered the boy and put the battery in his mouth? Have her be an adult murdering people. Or maybe the episode with Tiana and her pimp brother showing back up with him trying to exploit her son or something. Even that psychotic kid that shot Nick getting released would be interesting. Just, focus on the case and let the shipping happen naturally. If you want to focus on the romance, I’d prefer it be in situations like a hostage situation pushing them to admit/confess and such.

This can be more slice-of-life. Maybe Shego gets close to Kim by becoming a cheerleader and drags Drakken along for the ride?
2. Soulmarks! Post-canon Drakken and Shego are on vacation when Team Possible drops in to check on them and make sure they aren’t doing evil. Their soulmarks are plain as day in their beachwear even though they’re supposed to be as private as walking around naked. But wait! Kim has the exact same mark? How is that possible?! Are they mismatched? Is it REALLY a trio matching soulmarks? (The answer is yes, but they don’t know that). It could even be a mystery in the beginning where Ron and Kim show each other their soul marks and they don’t match. Then who are their soulmates?

Piecing together how in the world this combo happened would be a fun mystery all on its own.
Specific ideas: 1. Ninjas! A ninja war breaks out that somehow swallows not just Ron, but Drakken too. Who knew that the Lipsky family was secretly a clan of ninjas?
2. This idea is heavy on Eastern lore. It turns out that Drakken’s family are a bunch of various types of demons. Kim accidentally sees Drakken’s ‘real’ form in a magic mirror in a museum one day and it changes everything. Suddenly, Drakken and Kim HAVE to get married or they’ll both be killed. As the wedding day draws near and they learn about and bond with each other, Ron catches on that something is Wrong. Yamanouchi and their connections help Ron discover the truth and he decides to save Kim dramatically by killing all the non-humans (with Yori’s help). I love the idea of Drakken being a reject demon (kinda like a pink-haired Behemoth with blue skin) that is begrudgingly accepted by his family. Massive fight breaks out at the wedding and who knows who survives?

Specific ideas: 1. I got a wonderful gift where these two write letters to each other. I would love to see more of it! Maybe Kim joins a program where she tries to rehab villains via letters and she gets Drakken. They’re annoyed at first, but begin to open up. Kim and Ron break up, Shego leaves him in jail again, etc. Eventually Drakken breaks out! ...Yet they keep writing letters to each other. No one gets it. Not even them.
2. Kim is an overworked student who works as a barista. Drew (nickname Drakken because he’s ridiculous) is the long-working and often laughed at PhD student who’s been working forever on an obscure and almost ludicrous thesis topic. Some day Drakken ventures into the coffee shop and meets Kim. Drakken is rather memorable, which is why Kim learns his normal order pretty fast. They began chatting. Learning more about each other. They start helping each other with their ‘homework’ (Drakken bounces ideas off of Kim, Kim learns advanced science stuff). One of them realizes they caught feelings. Or both of them realize? Then it becomes a piningfest. Maybe Drakken lays a surprise excited kiss on Kim when he has a breakthrough?

Specific ideas: 1. Movie night once more. They’re comfortable with each other. Perhaps they dress down a bit? Get some food? Before either realizes...are they dating? Are these dates? These are dates, right?
2. Rumors are swirling. Someone made a list of romantically-involved members on the Watchtower. Fire and Ice, Batman and Superman, Shayera/John Stewart/Vixen, Supergirl and Batgirl...and Vigilante and Shining Knight? Are they serious? They laugh it off...but what if?
3. Pining? Mutual pining! They’re both so afraid of ruining what they have that they both keep quiet. The sexual tension is so high, though, that it starts interfering with OTHER members. An awkward conversation ensues with them and a senior member of the Justice League.
4. They’ve been friends with benefits for a while. Vigilante thinks they’ll never have anything more because of Justin’s obvious shame. Except...he isn’t ashamed? Just private? How in the world did Vigilante get it so wrong?

I always loved the relationship between Diana and Batman. I wish it’d been a happy ending. That’s what fanfics are for!
Specific ideas: 1. A bittersweet reunion. Bruce finally dies and is greeted at the gates of the Underworld by Diana. She’s been waiting for him. Whether she died or not is up to you. Either way, she’s there to join him. He tried to reject her and thinks about how he can’t drag her down like that. Except he says it because she snuck the lasso over a numb finger. What happens next? Iunno.
2. Diana reads between the unspoken lines and realizes that Batman simply doesn’t have Murder in his bones. He didn’t kill Ace. He never would. She can tell people thinking he did is eating at him even with him acting unaffected. So she does her best to show him that she cares without her normal discretion/subtlety.
3. Similar to the above, the sexual tension between them is thick enough to cut like a knife. Unlike above, they’re not really as receptive to the other founders confronting them. Which is why a bunch of juniors get together about it! They have a petition and everything about get them a room.

Dragon empress and her retainer! They NEED to be together (after a time skip).
Specific ideas: 1. Erje hasn’t been quite right since she took control of her birthright. Slowly, she’s been turning into a dragon. Not too noticeable, more monster cutie levels. But one problem that happened was the start of heats. She tries to suppress it. It gets more and more noticeable each year until she simply can’t handle it and she ravages her most loyal retainer. Zeldine ain’t complaining!
2. The empress must marry to secure the bloodline for the next generation. The wording, however, doesn’t mention if the spouse has to be male. Erje picks Zeldine, her most beloved retainer. She thinks it’s because of loyalty. But it’s beyond that. Real love is there.
3. Erje is unique. Ever since she was found by the priests she has been on a special diet. Things go wrong, she and Zeldine end up having to bum around on the Saint Horn again. Except this time they’re REALLY bumming. They eat whatever they can get. So Erje is off her diet and feels strange. Apparently the priests knew more about her than Erje did and the diet was to keep her heats in check. Now the only way to relieve them is sexual contact.
Zeldine is already in love with Erje. So when Erje asks for her help, it’s like a dream come true.

1. A fey-like creature has taken to the Ainsworth household. It isn’t malevolent or anything. More interesting. Chise takes a liking to it. Elias doesn’t understand why you would entertain a creature like that. Chise teaches him the meaning of the word ‘pet’. It’s especially annoying to Elias because it follows them to the coffee shop that Elias owns and Chise works at.
2. Chise has struggled. She’s been wandering the world aimlessly trying to find meaning. She eventually finds herself in England. Finally she’s reaching the end of her rope. She plans on suicide the next day and goes to her coffee shop gig one last time. Except...that day, a new customer shows up. He takes a great interest in Chise, and she finds herself drawn to him. That little connection is enough to save her. What happens next? I dunno. It would be spiffy if they picked Ruth up somehow.
3. Elias is a world-class fabricator. His costumes are magical, almost literally. But he’s alone on his pedestal. At least, until one day he sees something, someone, that takes his breath away. An urchin on the street with her pet dog. She looks dirty, but there’s something about her...he can’t stop himself. He takes her (she doesn’t fight, her will to live practically gone) and nurses her and her dog back to health. He apprentices her and it gets to the point where she actually manages to outshine him! That day, the day they are truly equals, is when they finally connect that what they’re feeling is love. <3

I’m 100% looking for a barely hinged Elias struggling with his instincts to take Chise. To Mark her, make her his. He’s struggling so, so much. He can’t let her go, but he can’t have her. Until she finally confronts him on how he feels. He haltingly explains his drive, his need, and hopes she doesn’t hate him. And she doesn’t! In fact, the opposite happens! She puts the moves on him! What little control he has breaks and he absolutely RAVAGES her. Can’t walk for days!

Elias/sp!Chise(/Ruth if possible)
A well-meaning fae hoping to help the will-they-or-won’t-they between Elias and Chise (post-academy please!) and smashes Chise full in the face with sex pollen! It heightens her sexual appetite and needs and makes her VERY aware of her feelings towards Elias. Ruth can totes be the catalyst for her making a move, being affected through their bond is driving him nuts!
A bit of miscellaneous:
1. Chise gets sick! Nothing major like before, just a cold. How doting would Silky be? Would she be protective of Chise and shoo the concerned boys away? Of course, they do stuff to show they love her still. Perhaps they choose a doodad from Angelica to give to her?
2. Oh no! The opposite. Silky gets sick! Poor baby. How will the three manage the household without her? How do they help her feel better?
3. They go to gather ingredients and run into...something. Good or bad fey, whatever strikes your fancy.
4. Hurt/comfort with some noncon. Chise decided to go into the wilds by herself. Some fey come across her and decide to show her just how much they love her! They give her pleasures beyond imagination! But...Chise didn’t want it. And now she returns or is found, hurt and suffering. The fey simply don’t understand that what they did was morally wrong. Elias and Ruth understand but have learned that it is wrong, especially with Chise. They help her recover and make sure she knows it isn’t her fault.
5. Chise decides to try and cook something. It can’t be too different from making salves, right? Right...?

- Sort of related, but I recently saw an idea for demon!Cas that has me intrigued for a dark-fic idea. What if Cas chose to become a demon to get his wings back/be more "useful" to Dean & Sam? (Especially at his very low point in seasons 10-12?) Would Dean be able to save him/bring him back? Or might they fall together (MOC/demon!Dean + demon!Cas, anyone?)

- I'm always of the belief that Cas deserved SOMEONE to finally give him the love and affection he was so starved for. It culd be a short term fling before Dean/Cas endgame or one where they end up together instead. I'm good either way. Would love this as either a Season 9 AU or maybe during the divorce arc (post-15x03, The Rupture). I eat up fic like that for breakfast.

- Sort of similar to the above OMC request but for season 12. Mick is there for Cas when no one else is, Mick doesn't die and maybe Cas goes to him at a later point in canon when he needs help/support? - I wish we'd gotten more of their unique relationship in Season 12. Cas knows what it's like to feel awkward, a fish out of water, as Mary does suddenly finding herself alive in this new world. And I'd love some more of them bonding or trying to work through the pain when Sam and Dean are being held prisoner for all those weeks and they can't find them.

- Case-fic, one of their hunts together when Jack was human and struggling to adapt?
- Heaven-fic. I'd love something (either humorous or serious) about the complexities of trying to rebuild & save Heaven, how it worked, was there a reason Cas could not visit Dean or Sam to let him know he was saved?

- Case-fic, anything showing them trying to build a relationship despite the obvious difficulties and past there.

Solo: Cas
- There's so much I'd love for this. More Cas POV from during the Season 6 civil war in Heaven, what that actually involved, his struggles trying to balance that fight with helping Dean & Sam. Season 9 human!Cas trying to deal with things. Post-15x03 Cas leaving the Winchesters behind to try to find himself and find meaning again. I’m fascinated by the idea of crossing over these two canons. Even if there’s some conflict in their approach to Hell/Lucifer/demons, there’s still a lot in common. Dean & Ezekiel having both put in their time in Hell and being demon Hunters, for instance, and their complicated relationships with (fallen) angels. I’d love to see them bonding over their experiences (Maybe they even meet in Hell? Time DOES work differently there…) Maybe somehow after Ezekiel completed his mission for the Devil, he did get his second chance at “life on Earth”…but the devil’s trick is that it’s not HIS Earth, it’s in a different dimension (Supernatural’s). I’m also curious how Ezekiel might respond to Castiel as an angel–perhaps he mistakes Cas for a demon at first, with his powers, but then they realize they are in fact hunting the same demon? Cas is stuck in an alternative dimension and recognizes Ezekiel as a similar soul to Dean’s, and seeks out his help?

Columbo (Columbo) & Castiel (Supernatual)
This is pure crack but I'd love to see more of it! Time-traveling Cas has a run-in with Columbo while on a hunt? Or maybe something's amiss/souls are going missing in Heaven, and Castiel recruits Columbo to aide in the investigation?

John Munch (Law & Order: SVU) & Abe Morgan (Forever (TV 2014))
I'd love a casefic where these two run into each other in NYC at some point. I head-canon they perhaps knew each other and were friends way back when in their hippie/war-protesting days. John ends up in Abe's antique shop on an investigation, perhaps? And John has suspicions about Henry but everyone puts it down to his paranoia/conspiracy theory obsessions?

Munch/Fin is one of my all time beloved ships. What can I say about them except they definitely deserved more fannish attention than they ever got? It’s opposites attract in the best way possible for me. They're both also kind of emotionally constipated to start with, so I love seeing how they go from irritating each other to slowly bonding to becoming the classic "Old Married Couple" with their (genuinely affectionate) bickering.

Art: There is not nearly enough art for this ship! Please, anything, would make me so happy. Doing anything romantic in New York City together (even if it’s just a walk through Central Park in the snow or autumn leaves, with an intimate touch or quick kiss.) Some smutty fun in John’s apartment (getting it on so hard they knock the books off of John’s shelves?) Or fic/art on Vallt - huddling for warmth together before the coup, or prison, writing letters, or just the immediate fallout of all of that. Or I would really love something domestic set on Coruscant or Lah-mu - or an AU where Lyra survives! Either she’s capture with him or they meet again years later once Galen escapes. Or she rescues him!

I’d also love quieter moments, how they spend their downtime together. What if Jyn ended up running into some kind of trouble with the Crimson Dawn at some point - what does Qi'ra think of her? Or, what if Jyn’s actually trying to infiltrate the organization - either because she’s working with the rebels, or she needs the work but she doesn’t actually want to help the syndicates any more than she wants to help the Empire? I’d like something where Qi’ra just likes her for whatever reason, or thinks she can use her or both. Or what if Jyn ends up going after Qi’ra because she had some kind of involvement with the Death Star project, or the Crimson Dawn is going after kyber/tech after the Empire falls?

I would love more about how Saw's people see and interact with the Cloud-Riders - do they train together, or respect each other, or do they end up stepping over each other and disagreeing with each other's methods? I'd love something with either Jyn looking up to her as a hero or maybe having a slightly more antagonistic or untrusting approach at first. I would love something looking at their relationships with their mothers, maybe, and what the Empire has taken from both of them. Or something adventerous/romantic with Enfys teaching Jyn how to ride swoop bikes! Maybe something with Enfys interacting with Jyn both before and after she's abandoned by Saw? Or what if one of them ends up rescuing the other from a bad situation?

MCS /& Meng Zhi: somehow my favourite rare pair, though I also love them platonically. Meng would /die/ for MCS. MCS would rather he was the only one who died. Also: completely oblivious MCS, with Meng there like 'i found you this house' 'you look cold here's a cloak which i will tenderly wrap around you' and 'i love you'
Yujin /& Jingrui: my dumb children. maybe something touching on their childhood together, growing into best friends (and lovers)? what sort of shenanigans did they get up to?
Lin Shu /& Jingyan: pre-canon shenanignas, post-canon relationship (in an au Lin Shu doesn't actually die, just his scheming MCS persona). I'm less of a fan of MCS/Jingyan bc the lying/gaslighting makes me uncomfortable, but I'd love a canon-divergent look at what might happen if he revealed the truth earlier on
Yujin & Yan Que: Yan Que realising how much he's missed out on by neglecting his son and trying to makeup for lost time. Maybe Yujin embraces it immediately, maybe he makes him suffer at bit first

Ciri & Geralt: Geralt is just trying to be a good dad, ok?

Maybe they worried about this when they were younger, but both swore they wouldn't sacrifice their own happiness for it, and were really relieved how it all turned out in the end?
Lizzy & Charlotte: I'm interested in how their friendship progresses, from pre-canon to Charlotte's 'betrayal' to post-canon? (how) do they maintain their friendship now that Lizzy is mortal enemies with Lady Catherine?

I'm really into this fandom for the SI-5 dynamic and the unhinged AI + unhinged women dynamics. Would love to see anything exploring those. I thought the Reddit tags could be potentially really funny with the SI-5 but they'd be great with any of the characters really. Very into humor, horror, and the humor/horror combo the canon does so well.

I loved the recent movie and it really got my brain craving different interpretations of the poem, so I'd love to see other takes on it! I did really like the visuals of the movie and wouldn't mind seeing art that drew on that, but I'm also very down for any other takes. I love lush greenery, snowy winter landscapes, gold details, and sensuality. One thing I kind of missed in the movie that I like in the original poem is Gawain's honor and cleverness, so I wouldn't mind seeing more of that in a story.

For this request, I'd definitely appreciate Touga's childhood abuse being acknowledged in fic but do not want any explicit descriptions on page. Something of the level of what we saw in the movie would be okay.
I've recently got obsessed with this show again and Touga in particular. I'd love something... critical but sympathetic. I'd like it if there was at least some glimmer of hope for him, a chance to break out of the cocoon of trauma and connect with people again. I love the After the Revolution manga and his relationship with Utena in it, if you've read that- I like her as his Dios, the idealized Prince he can never actually reach. I love his toxic relationship with Saionji that still contains a bit of hope they might be able to save each other. I like imagining a happy domestic future for them; I also like wallowing in dramatic imagery of coffins and lightning storms.
Alternately, I'm in love with the magical realism of Utena and would love anything worldbuilding-related, especially if it dealt with the shadow girls, different iterations of canon, and the mechanics of the duels.

I really, really love the Mars of this canon, Hyperion City and the Cerberus Province and the wastelands and other places. I'd love anything digging into that location. Other things I'd love: casefic, Jet and Buddy backstory, AU where Juno ends up working for Jet and Buddy in the Cerberus Province for a while, anything about Pilot, a moment from Juno's childhood, more of the in-universe tv shows (or a new one!).
