Nominations Clarification 1 (+ small update on mediums)

Thank you for all the good good nominations! We have some outstanding problems that need to be cleared up by nominators, a few reminders, and an update for those of you who would like to primarily offer a non-fic medium. In reverse order...

Offering non-fic mediums when you can't make fic

If you are someone who works in a non-fic medium (for example: fanart, vids, podfic) and you'd like to guarantee you match on that medium, please contact the mods before signups close letting us know what medium and who you're matchable to that is requesting that. Making the mediums both matchable and customizable turned out to not be reasonable, but we're happy to use some hand adjustment to make it technically matchable on offers, since we really want participants in all mediums!

Reminders

• You can nominate new opt-in mediums! Please let us know what you think is equivilant to 1k of fic here
• Fic In A Box is one of the legs of triplecrownofexchanges, for those of you who might not know! It's a challenge where you sign up for three different 10k exchanges.
• You can nominate (and we will accept) relationships involving ambiguous groups, but when assessing your gifts only one member of that group will be required to fulfill the relationship tag and we will err on the creator's side where ambiguity of membership is concerned.
• Please let us know asap if you see any mistakes or dupes in the tagset.
• Original Works nominators should remember that if they don't specific the gender of their characters it is up to their creator to decide.
• You need to disambiguate your relationships by adding the fandom or a fandom abbreviation after every relationship. Which brings us to...

Problems

• If you have nominated "Marvel Cinematic Universe" you need to split your noms into their respective subfranchises and then disambiguate. Noms which are not fixed will be rejected.
• If your nominations haven't been accepted yet, please check to make sure that you included your disambiguations! Some fandoms waiting on disambiguations are blocking us from seeing other fandoms.

Yours all look good (except for the one you brought up of course)! We can only approve in alphabetical order, so they're probably just waiting on other people to get their disambiguation in. I'm going to be starting to manually add them for some of the fandoms currently taking up the approval page later today, so eventually they'll all be in :)

"Geralt/Jaskier/Yennefer (Witcher TV)" is absolutely fine! The character tags do not need to be canonical as long as they're clear to people in your fandom.

I noticed in Breaking Bad, a character named "Tony Alquist" was nominated in a few ships. That character doesn't exist. I believe the nominator meant "Todd Alquist".

If the original nominator shows up and *did* turn out to want a Tony Alquist that I can't find on google, just let me know (and also explain who the character is) and I'll add it back in.

Hi! I notice that the Frodo/Sam (LOTR) pairing made it into the tagset twice. There's one with "Sam Gamgee" and one with "Samwise Gamgee."

I've got no idea :/ I added them back in manually.

Nothing should be rejected at this point except for duplicates (or things which were moved to a different fandom, which these were not). Anything that is danger of being deliberately rejected is still in the nominations panel and will go up in a clarification post later today. If anyone else has something that got rejected by error, let me know and I'll add it back in.

I am having a problem! The nomination form does not want to take individual characters by themselves. Yet I see several of them in the tag set; how did they get there? When I try to nominate them, I get "The tag [whatever] is already in the archive as a Character tag. (All tags have to be unique.) Try being more specific, for instance tacking on the medium or the fandom." The character in question is NOT already in the tag set that has been approved; I checked. Help!

You need to nominate them as "Solo: Name (disambiguation)", per the nomination guidelines.

AO3 won't allow you to put a character in the relationships field if it has been used as a character tag *anywhere* on AO3 in any tagset that has ever existed, so probably the character is in a some tagset somewhere. If the "Solo:" version throws things off too, I would just change up the disambiguation slightly until you get one that it'll accept.

Also: the FAQ (https://ficinabox.dreamwidth.org/389.html#cutid1) says ten fandoms with up to ten relationships per, and yet I have like 20 relationship slots?

I don't know why ao3 did this, but the crossover ship "Haru (No Thank You!!!)/Azumi Seiji (Room No. 9)" shows up under Crossover Fandom, No Thank You!!!, and Room No. 9, despite me only nominating it under Crossover Fandom.

Sometimes tags wander, definitely not your fault. Thanks for letting me know! I'll add it to the list of wandering tags I need to fix (I probably won't get to those today, but they will all be corraled into their correct fandoms before signups start)

Hello! Wanted to chime in and say that there are two Padmé/Sabé nominations under Star Wars Prequel Trilogy, because one has the disambig (SWPT) and the other has (SW PT)
