Swaps Are Out!

Your swapsignments have been sent out to the emails associated with your AO3 accounts! If signed up for swaps and did not receive an email, please contact us so that we can get that information to you!

We would like to thank those of you who signed up to receive extra wordcount. Some of you simply held extra words while we shuffled swaps around, others of you will receive more than 10k in assignments when your swaps email arrives, and in all cases swaps wouldn't have been successful without you!

Here's what you let us do:

• 904,000 words were swapped! (541,000 last year!)
• there were 1604 potential swaps (where one swap is a request from one of you create for someone!) (Last year: 900)
• 429 swaps were made between 179 participants (Last year: 249 swaps; 122 participants)
• 3 participants wanted to swap, but unfortunately couldn't; these participants will be prioritized to the best of our ability next year if they sign up for swaps again (Last year: 5)
• We now have 694 combined assignments, pinch hits, and swaps out, most of them waiting to be filled! (Last year: 502)

Finally, thank you very much to everyone for your patience. Please refer to this part of the rules for an in-depth refresher on assignment minimums and expectations, but the short of it is: 10k of complete fic (or equivalent opt-in) is due on October 15 at 11:59 EDT. Email us immediately if you have any problems with or questions about your assignment(s).

Other rule reminders/clarifications/information:

These notes aren't related to swaps, we just want you to know this stuff!

• Sequels don't have to pretend to be anon (especially since you may need to identify yourself as the same author depending on recip's recursive opt ins) but don't link to or post on social media until after creator reveals.
• We'd like to remind everyone that per this part of the rules you can make up or replace 2k of your assignment(s) by creating and posting a unique workskin with tutorial for use during the exchange.
• The Google Forms post is your one-stop shop for defaulting, extension requests and assignment summaries without having to directly email us (although you are of course welcome to do that as well!)

Initial Pinch Hits will be going up the evening of September 12th (either today or tomorrow depending on your time zone), to give us time to get all these swaps into the mod sheet and verify all of the pinch hit amounts! Any google forms which aren't currently open will also be opened within the next few days!
