Tagset Technical Support & Fixes

This post is very specifically for technical/structural issues within the tagset, so that they can be routed directly to the mod who is handling those! Anything that requires decision making should go on the most recent nominations post instead, for the mod who makes the decisions to handle.

Your report must include:

The tag(s)
The fandom
The issue and if necessary what needs to be changed to fix it.

Known Glitch

There is currently a display glitch in the tagset which is showing the same exact tag twice. I have a plan for detecting and fixing these, but as it's widespread in the tagset I will probably be fixing them during the tagset cleanup stage after nominations to make sure I catch all of them. I don't believe any duplicates slipping through will impact signups, as there is still only one tag on the mod end, but if you notice any fandoms with this issue please report them here so I can verify they're fixed later!

I think I've fixed this now, so if I haven't please let me know!

Things to report here

Wandering tags: These are tags that belong in one tagset fandom, but are showing up in others. This is usually caused by the fandoms being connected, but some tags just like to show up any ol place. Please indicate both the correct fandom and the fandom(s) being invaded.
Misspellings: Please tell me the correct spelling.
Duplicate tags: This is different from the glitch above and is when the same tag is in the fandom twice in slightly different formats. One will need to be removed, so please say which you would rather keep.
Doubled disambiguation: Sometimes we do this by accident, I will trim it back off.
Synning catastrophes: Sometimes a tag, or even a whole fandom, is synned to another thing in the tagset which then devours it. Make sure to tell me both the devoured tag/fandom and what is consuming it.
Fandom name changes to transferred fandoms: Sometimes things from last year get updated fandom names due to changes in the fandom since last year, this usually goes along with changes to the canonicals.
Mod Whoopses: Did we say to do things one way and then went and accepted it the wrong way? Hopefully this won't happen often, but if it does please report it here!
Other structural fixes: Things I missed that aren't on the lists below.

Things to report on the most recent nomination query page instead

Clarity fixes: If a tag is unclear as nominated, the decision making mod will need to query that to try to find out the intention and the best edit.
Changes to how a fandom is split.
Any tag changes that aren't objective/structural fixes.

Things you don't need to report

Anything in the "Unassociated Characters & Relationships" bucket at the bottom.
Display preferences: If there is a clarity issue then that should be reported in the most recent nomination post so that it can be queried to find out the nominator's intention. If it's a preference that does not affect the meaning of the tag such as pipes vs no-pipes or disambiguation format, then we likely will not be changing that.
Weird spaces in your disambiguations: I probably put them there to fix some issue.

Just wanted to let you know that Charmed (TV 1998) appears to have that glitch you were talking about with the duplicate tags. Not all of them appear twice, but a good amount of them do!

Just wanted to let you know that in the Ghosts US TV 2021 fandom, Trevor Lefkowitz/Pete Martino is duplicated!

I assume this was my mess up while nominating, but in Z-O-M-B-I-E-S (Disney Movies), the tag A-Li/Wynter Lykensen should actually be A-Li/Wynter Barkowitz.
I must have accidentally typed the wrong last name, sorry for the inconvenience! (Her name is correct in the other tag she shows up in.)

Logan/Scott Summers (X-Men OTM) is attempting to invade the marvel comics fandom. Thus far I've spotted it in: Marvel 616, Marvel Noir, X-Men comicverse.

Under The Mummy (Movies 1999-2008), there's both Ardeth Bay/Evy Carnahan O'Connell/Rick O’Connell (The Mummy) and Ardeth Bay/Evy Carnahan/Rick O’Connell (The Mummy). They're the same people, but one is Evy's married name.

I had the Evy Carnahan version transferred from the 2022 tagset. I doesn't matter to me personally which version you keep, butI don't know if having the married name vs not matters to whoever else nominated them.

Thank you! I've removed the duplicates! The only tag in the duplicate fandom had an exact copy in the other one, so I've removed it along with the duplicate fandom.

The duplicate glitch shows up in Bringing Up Baby:
